I heard a clicking broken gear type of noise and when I opened the door there was no water and it looked like the rotating sprayer on the bottom was not spinning. Broken gear under those 6 or eight bolts on the bottom? Where can I view a schematic? Thanks Fargon

Please post the rest of the model number. There should be about 11 numbers total.

I'm running it again, and it's washing just fine so I'll post at what point it starts clicking and what lights are on also. Michael

As an ex trouble shooter for GTE, I know all about trouble that comes and goes. I also know this will likely be back. But I sure would like an experts opinion on this bug. So last time as I said it clicked real loud and no water was coming through the sprayer. At that time two of the three red lights were on and I tried opening the door to restart it a couple of times but it started clicking right away. This time I started it all over and it's three red lights and going gang busters. Thanks for any help. Michael

I removed the lower spray arm and put it right back is the only thing I have done in the middle of all of this. It's running great and almost finished with a load. Mystery to me. Michael

Keep an eye/ear on it. Don't want to replace that one with a new one. The new ones don't compare in cleaning, in my opinion. That is one of the better pump & motors that Whirlpool has made.

So it's the pump system? What would the clicking be exactly? Does the vent assembly need to be cleaned ever? Thanks for your time. Michael

No, the water level switch (aka float) was probably stuck. Try trunning a cycle with just white venegar in it to clean the insides.
