Hey guys.
I know this is not a "repair" question, but since you helped on my frig repair question, I was hoping you could offer some suggestions.
My elderly in-laws need a new washer. They want a top load with about 4.3+/- capacity. Not a lot of bells and whistles, just good basic cleaning capability and reliability.
What can you suggest?
Thanks in advance.

Whirlpool, Kenmore, Roper, Speed Queen, or Estate.
Remember .........."direct drive".
GE stands for "Generally Expensive"! LOL
And, don't buy a Calypso, Maytag, or Amana or Frigidaire. These are 5 year machines. 5 years and they are DONE!

Who makes what, see below. Kenmore/Sears makes nothing http://www.appliance411.com/purchase/make.shtmlTry to stay away from units with electronic controls. Even units that just have a board to control water temperature can be a pain in the butt. |

Thanks, gentlemen. I think they are going to look at a Whirlpool. Lowe's and Best Buy have them on sale. Since they are Energy Star, the State of Texas has a rebate, too.
