I know this is not a "repair" question, but since you helped on my frig repair question, I was hoping you could offer some suggestions. My elderly in-laws need a new washer. They want a top load with about 4.3+/- capacity. Not a lot of bells and whistles, just good basic cleaning capability and reliability. What can you suggest? Thanks in advance.

LOL And, don't buy a Calypso, Maytag, or Amana or Frigidaire. These are 5 year machines. 5 years and they are DONE!

Kenmore/Sears makes nothing http://www.appliance411.com/purchase/make.shtml Try to stay away from units with electronic controls. Even units that just have a board to control water temperature can be a pain in the butt.
