I have a Hotpoint Dishwasher model HDA797K-01BA that does drain, but leaves residual water at a level where it just touches the bottom of the heater element. I have never noticed this residual water before. The drain tube connects to the plumbing under the sink and has worked well for years. Can anyone suggest a solution to this problem? Is the residual water a normal condition? All suggestions are appreciated.

Here are your parts Replacement parts for General Electric HDA797K-01BA | AppliancePartsPros.comYou say that it "that does drain" but just under the heating element is where a normal fill stops. How do you know it is draining? Have you opened the unit up during a cycle just after a drain and seen that the tub is empty? Normally on these units there is about a quarter inch of water left in the bottom of the tub at it's lowest point. Have you checked that the drain hose and house plumbing are clear? |
