Gas dryer does not heat. Should I take to appliance repair, or is there something that I can try first. The owners thought is was a heating element. No heating elements in gas dryers. Help me please!

Sfilip,

Did you remove the 4x4 access panel in the right bottom corner of the front panel, and observe the burner operation ?

Do you have gas supplied to the burner assembly?

When you make a temperature selection

Set the selector knob to regular setting and start the machine,
( the dryer should run approximately 10 minutes if it's empty)

Just like any gas dryer (with elec. ignition), the glow bar should glow for 30 to 60 seconds, the flame switch sensor should open and the glow bar start to fade and the gas should ignite, and have a flame.

After you observe that operation for a few minutes, let us know what you observe and we can get you going from there.
:) :) :)
