dryer will not start, I've checked all of the sensor and switches and they all work and there is power to the timer and on switch. Could it be the electronic control?

Here are your parts Replacement parts for Maytag MED5800TW0 29`` ELECTRIC DRYER | AppliancePartsPros.comHere is the wiring diagram, see the attachment. Could it be the electronic control? No, all the control does is advance the timer motor in auto cycles. Unplug the unit and set the timer to mid scale timed dry. Set the meter to 200 ohms scale. Attach one meter lead to Neutral and leave it there. Now work your way through the start circuit. Neutral - Door Switch - Timer Switch 4 T/W - Motor windings - Thermal Fuse - Push To Start relay contacts - BU/BK timer contacts - L1 You should be able to get most the test points inside the control console. I would do the Timer Switch 4 T/W to Push to Start contacts so you can get the test points then if it measures open you can investigate further. Always a good idea to disconnect one side of anything you are measuring just to be sure you are not measuring an alternate/parallel circuit path. |
