stacked unit, not heating well, lint trap/line relatively clean. thermostat? thanks

My Kenmore417.99680210 has completely stopped working. I've gone through three thermal fuses.
Mine was barely drying as well the past year. In the process of trying to get this problem fixed, I did repalce the exhaust vent and shop vac the inside of the dryer out. Removed a TON of lint.
Now the problem is it dries TOO good. I had five towels dry in two half-hour timed cycles on LOW. I suspect it's a bad thermostat, but won't know for sure until I replace it.
I have a running thread on this over at appliantology.org, but will also follow your progress.
