I just received my new ice dispenser motor part no. 2188869 to replace motor part number 2198594. I installed it, hooked up the power, but it will not work. Any ideas?

What was the original problem?
Why did you think the motor is bad?

I don't know that the motor is bad. The original motor was not turning fast, made a terrible noise and would not dispense ice. I plugged in the new one, but there does not seem to be any power getting to it. I am wondering if there is something within the auger mechanism that trips the motor and somehow I have screwed that up.

Perform the troubleshooting as described in the attached file. Post the results. Gene.

Did you perform the motor troubleshooting yet? You also may want to check the couplings (#15 & #25 on the diagram). Gene.
