I just received my new ice dispenser motor part no. 2188869 to replace motor part number 2198594. I installed it, hooked up the power, but it will not work. Any ideas?

What was the original problem?

Why did you think the motor is bad?

I don't know that the motor is bad. The original motor was not turning fast, made a terrible noise and would not dispense ice. I plugged in the new one, but there does not seem to be any power getting to it. I am wondering if there is something within the auger mechanism that trips the motor and somehow I have screwed that up.

The motor made a bad noise and would not turn the auger to dispense the ice

Did you perform the motor troubleshooting yet?

You also may want to check the couplings (#15 & #25 on the diagram).
