My timer dial is stripped. Can I replace the timer myself? It got stuck on a laundry basket and now the dial won't go around.

No problem, just take the screws off the back of the console panel, pull of the timer knob, take off the timer and replace it. Make a diagram of how the wires go, or replace them one at a time. The back of the timer may have marks for the wire by color, but don't take a chance. Here is the part, be sure and unplug the dryer to work on it. \
