My oven wont heat to temp. I bought an oven thermometer and set the oven at 400 and it will only heat to 175. I am guessing that it is the oven ingiter?

thanks

Dear rickm1959,

It seems your model number was missing a number at the end. The complete model number on those are usually located toward the bottom, behind the drawer, on the body on the left hand side.
It will be on a metallic sticker that says model and serial number.

In most cases it does have to do with the igniter. If the igniter doesn't get hot enough it wont open the valve

The only way to test it properly is by taking an amp draw reading to see if it is reaching what is indicated on the valve.

That is if it has that type of ignition and not using the spark module as used on these later models.
