Dishwasher had quit working. I diagnosed issue with Control Switch and ordered replacement part from your company. I just installed the part (9741522).
When I try to start wash cycle in Pots mode or Normal mode the dishwasher just stays with heating water light lit (over 20 minutes). Wash cycle does not start.
When I start it in Light/China mode it works great. It goes from Heating Water to Wash cycle starting pretty quickly.
Any idea why I'm having an issue with the first two wash cycles?
These two cycles have not operated for quite some time.
Thanks!

Here is the parts breakdown Model KUDA230YWH2Here is the tech sheet https://www.servicematters.com/d...0Sheet%20-%209741531.pdfCould be related to the water temperature. The machine is waiting for the water to heat up to a set level before starting the wash. Check to see if the heating element is working. Be careful do not burn your fingers. Check the element and thermostats for continuity with a meter. Remove the wires from one side of the device you are checking. Heating element should be around 10 ohms. Thermal cutoff thermostat should be closed at room temperature. Could also be a low water level in the tub, the tech sheet gives the required level. |

Thanks for the suggestion.
I'll check the heating element. I guess what has thrown me off is why the dishwasher works in the Light/China cycle but not the other two wash cycles.
Is it the same heating element that heats up to dry dishes? Dishwasher is steamed up and drying very well at completion of cycle.

Looks like there are 2 heaters. The wiring diagram in the tech sheet shows an AIR heater for drying and a WH heater which I think is the Wash heater. |
