Our 1999 Kenmore 25 cu/ft refrigerator stopped cooling/freezing all of a sudden. This is the first instance of any problem, since purchased new. Had not adjusted any controls in years. I did notice over several months that it was noisier when it was "running". The question is, should I call the Sears repairman or go buy a new one? I am not able to repair it myself, unless it's relatively minor.

Need more info on what is happening.

What are the symptoms?
Is the compressor running?
Is the condenser/compressor fan running?
Is the evaporator (freezer) fan running?
Have you tried turning the temperature to off and then back to a cold setting?
