It looks like the damper door stays wide open. Freezer side appears to work as it should. Water filter assembly froze and cracked. I replaced the water filter assembly and it is working. If I leave the thermostat settings to factory default, the frigerator side starts freezing. How do I troubleshoot the the damper? I don't know if the thermostat is bad or the damper control assembly (or what??).

Thanks. I believe the temperature control (refrig) or the damper assembly is bad. Both parts are over $100 and I don't want to guess at which one is bad. Can you tell me how to test the temperature control? Since the damper assembly is opening and closing, I suspect the temp control assembly is the problem.
