dishwasher control panel light up, displays two dashes where it would normally display number of minutes. None of the buttons works except the cancel button, or if I press for 5 seconds on the Energy Saver Dry button, the Control Lock light will come on.
This all happened when I went to run the machine immediately after replacing the motor. Before I replaced the motor, the machine ran fine but the dishes came out with food particles all over them.
The ground wire is OK, and I have tried to reset the machine by turning the circuit breaker off for 5 minutes and turning ckt breaker back on again.
Is this a control panel problem, or a control board problem or something else?

I had the appliance repair man come out to deal with this. The problem was that the door switch came loose as I was manhandling the dishwasher when I was replacing the motor/pump. He put the switch back in its place and the dishwasher works just fine.
