I have an the Amana LGA30AW dryer running on propane. All has been fine with this but last night it just stopped heating. I read articles and decided to check. I unplugged, removed the front panel and cleaned out the excess dust and lint. I plugged it back in and watched as I turned it on...the ignitor glows and ignites, the flames continue to burn, don't appear to be short cycling. The interior got very hot so thought I was good. However, when I replaced the front panel and loaded with damp clothes, no heat again. What could be wrong?

Mlac, Based on your description, You either have a gas flow problem to the unit, or a bad set of gas valve coils, Part number: AP3094251
The coils are the most likely problem, and a somewhat easy repair. Remove power to the dryer, Remove the front panel, Disconnect the wire harness from the coils, Remove the 2 screws holding the coil retainer bracket from the top of the gas valve, Repalce 1 coil at a time, and make sure the stainless steel sleave remains on the split coil plunger assembly. Reverse the procedure, and test the dryer for heat/ ignition. Good Luck, :) :) :)
