Which part did you replace: the control board (#3 on the diagram) or the console (#6 on the diagram)?

What did the pump at this time? Did it switch from wash to drain but water did not come out? Did it keep washing or it stopped and did nothing?

not sure what the pump did. machine stopped running, a light came on saying the dishes were clean, opened the door and water was still in the bottom of dishwasher.

It is very important. Can you run the dishwasher, monitor it and post the results?

Yes. The motor will stop for a few seconds and then restart in a different direction. You also should hear the noise of draining water.

stupid question i guess, sorry.

4:10 started light wash cycle, heard water running in, heard washing sound, heard draining thru sink/garbage disposal.

4:30 water came back on, then sounded like it was draining again, water came back on, heard washing sound that shut off a couple minutes later. heard nothing more, at 5:00 opened dishwasher and there was water in the bottom so guess there never was a final drain.

Remove the toe panel and check how warm is the motor on touch. Check for any water marks on the bottom of the pump and the motor.
