This machine is pretty simple and there are not many parts which can cause it.
The control board is the first suspect but if the old control board did the exact same thing, I'd be hard pressed to think the new one is bad in the exact same way.
May be the motor is kicking out on overload...May be the drained water filling the machine back up...
It's very hard to diagnose remotely in such situation.
