Rank: Advanced Member Groups: Senior Expert Joined: 3/29/2009(UTC) Posts: 11,699		That is unusual for these machines, I mean, a little noise is always present with a Whirlpool Direct Drive that you have but it should not be a loud squeak. Take a look at the Sticky by Richappy at the top of this page, and use the info to take a look at your clutch and brake assembly.
