My kenmore top loading washer has developed a leak somewhere.. during the spin cycle only... during the first drain & refill for rinse there is no water but late in the spin cycle I see some water oozing out from under the unit. I took the cabinet off the frame to check the hoses and found that there is water marks on the inside of the cabinet almost completely to the top and I also found a little water trail on the outide of the washer from the space between the top portion of the cabinet (the part where the lid is attached ) and the bottom cabinet. Any thoughts on what is really happening. Thanx Dan

With the cabinet off, shunt the lid switch and run it through a cycle on the highest water level. Watch as it spins, and you will see where the water is coming from.

So I ran the rinse and spin with no leakage. So Now I am wondering if maybe there might be a leak in one of the hoses that feeds the bleach/softener trays and this leak put enough water on the lip that surrounds the basket/tub it is about 2 inches wide and is like a trough. And then when the washer goes into spin mode the vibration throws the water around. Dan

How much water are you seeing? What side of the machine are you seeing it on?

The water is generally on the left side (the side with the bleach / fabric softener dispenser) there is a small space (1/64th of an inch) between the base cabinet and the lid assembly where this bleach / fabric softener dispenser is mounted and there are hoses running along this side under this lid assembly.
