The reason it does not advance is because the dryer is not heating. If you have an ohm meter, check the high limit thermostat, that is mounted on the flame tube. If you get a reading there, then go to the flame sensor on the left side of the flame tube. If you get a reading there, then replace the ignitor. If you don't have a meter, I can tell you how to jump them out. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
