Timer does not advance and it will not heat.

If you have an ohm meter, check the high limit thermostat, that is mounted on the flame tube. If you get a reading there, then go to the flame sensor on the left side of the flame tube. If you get a reading there, then replace the ignitor. If you don't have a meter, I can tell you how to jump them out. Tom ApplianceEducator.com
