The oven overheats. A setting of 425F will produce 475F to 500F by oven thermometer. What needs to be cleaned or replaced?
Thanks in advance!

The clock control board. But lots of times the oven thermometer needs to be replaced. Is your food burning? If not it is most likey OK.. Most store bought cheap thermometers are normally not accurate for long. Also check you manual, and see if there is not a way to adjust the temperature by the control board. Sometimes holding the bake button in for 5 seconds or so, will come up with an adjustment of temp. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

Yes, food is burning. Several thermometers are showing the same over temp reading. The problem is sporadic. Sometines the unit will control quite well at the desired temperature.
