So, the dishwasher stopped drying the dishes. This could mean a couple of things, but one thought was a defective heater element. When I pulled the unit out this morning, I found a wire had come off the heater element.

Upon closer inspection, it appeared to have burned  (some melted insulation, some charred plastic). The connector itself was still attached to the element, but the wire was no longer attached.

Even though a disconnected element explains the lack of drying, I'm thinking this indicates something else is wrong. Any ideas or recommendations?

ohm out the element to verify its still good put a new terminal on the wire and reattach it to the element if it works your good to go.
