there is a humming noise when the compressor tries to start and then the internal circuit breaker pops. after several tries it finally starts and cools fine. the only other thing I see is that there is condensation on the outside back of the freezer. any ideas? thanks

I would replace the compressor start device behind the compressor side cover. Order AP4009662. It's possible the device is going bad, or you have a burnt wire there. If that fails to start it, you have a hard starting compressor that would have to be replaced.

Seems like you just have a hard starting compressor, new start device might not fix this, but worth a try.
