I have a new GE GFSS6KEXSS on which i would like to be able to selectively disable the door open sensors on the fridge & freezer (the sensor which shuts the lights & fans when the door is ajar).
It does not have the plunger-style sensor.
I beleive it has some sort of magnetic sensors.
Any ideas?
Thanks.

If it is under a year old don't do anything to it or you could void your warranty.

I am aware of the warranty issues, as well as the potential for inefficient operation and a shorter compressor lifetime.
