dishwasher won't drain at all. I can hear the pump trying to work and it sounds weird like something is stuck or clogged. But I can't find anything clogged in the hoses and am unsure where to go from there.

There probably is (what you said)............here is the pump part number Drain pump kit
Part Number: AP4318633 made by FRIGIDAIRE

Not really the impellar in those pumps strips out easy especially if it's noisy
