I have a GE side by side, both the freezer compartment and fresh food sides are warm at top (50F) and cold at bottom (15F); replaced evaporator fan motor (comes with a connected bullet type themostat that clamps to evaporator coils); still has same symptoms; is this a circuit board problem or ?? Thanks

If the fan did not come on, when you replaced it, you would need the motherboard. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

just as suggested, I replaced the motherboard and evaporator fan kicked on and everything is working, fyi to all-I sourced the motherboard for $59.95 plus $11.00 shipping at McCombs Supply Co in Lancaster, PA. Nice enough people. Be aware, the board I received looked quite a bit different from the installed one, and had an extra plug-in port; however just plugged in the 6 leads I had in same general location on new board and all is working. The new boards with the extra port must fit several models with other options I don't have. Hope this helps somebody!
