My magtag washer will not go through the cycles. It will fill with water but then stops. The first time it did this I smelled burning wire. Now the control knob for the cycle just spins and no longer clicks.

Has the timer burned out?

How do I remove the conrtol knobs and get the panel off to check?

If your just checking for a broken knob you have to get in the control panel by removing the back panel. On the timer you'll see a plastic stem you have to hold that with needle nose while you pull the knob off there are also instuctions printed on the timer how to remove knob.
