i picked this thing up and the guy that had it did some home made repairs with electrical tape, duct tape and bare wire....he burnt up all the thermostats and fuse...i have all of them new and i am trying to rewire it back to the manfacturers standards but dont have a schematic for this exact model...i have some schematics for the newer kenmores that have the heating element in the back...this one is on the bottom under and to the right of the tumbler drum if looking at it from the front...if anybody has a wiring diagram or schematic for this model # or older style of kenmore/whirlpool dryer i would really appreciate it..shawn

Correct you should have 110 on each side and 220 together. You may need to follow the wires thru the harness to see if you have a broken wire or a loose wire in the harness. Found one just a few weeks ago that wouldn't run and it turned out to be a loose connection in the harness plug at the motor. That's the bad thing about Kenmore's getting the correct wiring diargram if the one in the console is no longer there.
And thank you for blessing the ministry.

yeah i do have the 220 at the plug....i used another dryer i got and it started right up....that circuit card seems to be ok..i read out all the resistors and the values are correct...ill try and dig thru the harness and see if i can get anywhere...the thing is...it was tumbling when i first got it and that guy had it wired all crazy..now that i undid all that and tried to do it the right way i aint getting the 220 to the motor or the element...its weird....if you got anymore suggestions that would be great...im an electrician in the navy and started working on washers and dryers in my garage for extra money...teaching myself all this stuff and picking up tips from this website....anyway...thanks again...
