this washer just stopped working, i checked for power and there is no power at the timer control? is this possible the problem?

It is possible the lid switch stops all power, I would check it first. If ok, I would pull the cover off the timer and look for burnt contacts. If so, you need a new timer. If one or two contacts are not burnt, but melted and fused open, you have a shorted motor! Lid switch AP3094500, timer, AP3607885

I pulled the timer off and nothing is burned

If nothing is working, I would check the wall outlet.
