Washer,pull button to start,nothing. Checked fuse behind front cover,blown.Replaced,Water fills to proper level,but nothing else happens ,checked wiring diahgram,thinking its the check switch failed causing fuse to blow and timer control not to function?

You also have a small micr switch next to the fuse, and another lid switch, usually black, and rectangle shape, it will be 1 of those. Tom ApplianceEducator.com

Replace the whole assembly that houses micro switches and fuse Maytag part number is 22001682
