I have a Kenmore Elite Ultrawash Quietguard 7. The "Normal Wash" LED just continuously flashes. Can NOT run diagnostic cycle. Unplug/Replug and nothing. I did remove the control panel and futzed around with the button membrane (one thread mentioned a sticky button might be the problem). Put all together and it looked like it tried to go into diagnostic cycle (all lights came on, etc.) but after a few moments, the dreaded "normal wash" LED flash again. Im leaning towards a new control panel..but not sure. Anyone else have a similar experience and was able to repair?? IM GETTING FRUSTRATED!! Thanks!

The 665 prefix tells us it is actua;lly a Whirlpool unit but you are missing at least 4 digits at the end of your model number. |

Diagnostic update: I was able to get the diagnostic mode to run. It ran through the cycles for about 15 minutes. Periodically, the "normal wash" did flash continuously, but then it would continue on with the next cycle.
Next step: I try to run a regular normal cycle. I hit the cancel/drain button twice and it seems to drain. Once it stops I press the normal wash button and it lights up. i press the start button and........NOTHING. It will not start. I try other wash cycle options (Pots/Pans, Quick Rinse, Smart Wash) all of those LEDs light up...but when I push the start button, the machine will not start.
So what do y'all think it might be???????
THanks!

Just to close the loop on this problem....
Turns out it was the control panel membrane that was the culprit. I ordered a new control panel thru appliancepartspros and the dishwasher is up and running great!
Thanks for your help!

You are welcome.
And thanks for getting back to us. Now when others search for a similar problem they will see what actually worked instead of just suggestions about what could be the cause. |

I replaced the control board but did not work for me. After I replaced it, it appeared to be working but got stuck on "wash cycle.", i.e. it kept washing. Now the "normal wash" light is blinking again. I’m not sure how to run the diagnose, there are no buttons for this. Hope you can help.

RPicon.
Please start your own thread (post) using "Post New Topic" adding to another person's post who has a different model number will just confuse things. |
