Dishwasher is taking more than 2 hours to run a "normal" cycle....any ideas?

Often this is a water heating problem.
The unit is waiting for the water to get to the set temperature.

Check that the water filling the unit is at least 120 degrees F.
Unplug the unit and check the heating element for continuity.
Check the hi-limit thermostat, should be 0 ohms.
