Kenmore Elite, French door style, freezer below. Water dispenser is on INTERIOR left wall. Water stopped dispensing, ice maker stopped making ice; replaced filter, still nothing. No sound made when I press the switch for water, but it didn't really make a sound to begin with. Any ideas?

Correction: when I press the water button, I do hear a click from the area of the filter, as if a valve were opening and closing, but nothing was coming through. (One click on press, one on release.)

I can only assume you have checked your water supply line in the back of fridge, disconnect and run into a bucket, also make sure the fridge hasnt run over the line.

The supply line is good. When I changed the filter, it filled up with water. I took it off again to be sure, and you could feel that there was a pressure build-up as well as see all of the water that spilled out of the filter. It APPEARS that the ice maker is producing a small amount of ice, but that could also be my imagination.

If you have one , place a thermometer in the fridge compartment. Its supposed to stay within a range of 40 degrees plus or minus five, all the water for the chilled water and icemaker have to go through the filter, If its frozen, it won't worked right.

I think you were right. I couldn't get a hold of a thermometer, but I warmed things up a bit, and it works now. Whenever we put a lot of stuff in the fridge, some of it starts to freeze, and it gets colder in there. Thanks a lot for your help!:) :) :)
