my wall oven - the ignitor works fine; glows red hot, but the gas never lights the burner (which never comes on); there is no smell of gas, so i'm guessing the gas valve does not open; what parts do i need to buy?

Bernie,

You most likely need a new igniter

Part number: AP2129143
Part number: AP2129143

That's the most common resolution for your complaint.

Just because it glows does not mean it is working properly.

You would need a clamp on ammeter and it should draw a minimum of 3.2 amps when it's glowing.

Also, the igniter should glow "white Hot", not red or orange, you should be barely able to look at it.

You may want to order the igniter, and replace it, if you don't have access to a meter.

Good Luck,
:) :) :)
