When I peered into the tub with a flashlight, it appeared to be agitating. Don't know if this tells you anything important or not, but...

Eben,

You don't have the proper adjustment.

(pay close attention to the top of page 3 in the instruction sheet).

It may take several "adjustments" to get close to the proper cam range, and then "fine" tune it from there.

Most technicians, used to align the arrows and stack the washers, until the E clip slot could barely be seen, then used a small thin blade screw driver to "pry" out on the shaft and set the E clip.

That used to work rather well, you may want to try it ??

I attached the instruction sheet, just in case.

Good Luck,
:) :) :)

I wish this person would have followed up and told if they fixed the problem.

Angel, A response or update from the customer would be nice, but it doesn't always happen. In your case "the washer wont spin by hand" is approached from two ways. If you can reach in the tub and turn it by hand, then approach it from the bottom and the thrust bearing kit. If you can't turn the tub by hand, then suspect the tub bearing assembly is seized to the transmission. You'll need to be careful, the washer needs to be in the spin cycle and running, you'll need to hold the lid switch down and turn the tub by hand at the same time.

Oh I forgot to ask. If the tub bearing assembly is seized to the transmission, all I have to do to fix that is try to turn the tub by hand while the machine is in the spin cycle? No parts needed?

Angel, Yes, it's not very difficult a machine to diagnose and repair. You'll have it diagnosed in a couple of minutes. Will keep an eye out for your next post.

Joe, I'm so excited. Even my daughter was laughing at me, I was so ecstatic. Your solution worked!!! Yes. Thank you so very much. And it didn't cost a penny. As soon as I tried to move the tub it took off. To make sure I even marked an on the tub with a permanent marker and sure enough, its working. I believe that we reap what we sow. I got a reaping and yours is coming. Thanks again Joe.
