Gas was turned off and dryer was used , turned gas back on now dryer will run but there is no heat. What is the sequence of operation ? I belive the igniter is dead and therfore will not allow the gas valve to open . Igniter part #ap2042786, also can I test this igniter by putting 110v to it ,and should it glow ?

You should test the ignitor with an ohm meter.
