Hi
I have a GE side by side refrigerator (model no GCF23KGW/GSC23KSW) which has a broken light switch in the fresh foods section. I dropped a bottle on it and I think I broke just the white knob of the light switch. I have had to tape the black button to stop the door alarm from going off :-| I was wondering how to replace it. I have ordered for a replacement part but not sure if there is any trick involved.
Thanks

Slide a small flat-blade screwdriver under the switch and push the locking tab. Pull out the switch.
Disconnect the harness connector and remove the switch.
