Hi I have a GE side by side refrigerator (model no GCF23KGW/GSC23KSW) which has a broken light switch in the fresh foods section. I dropped a bottle on it and I think I broke just the white knob of the light switch. I have had to tape the black button to stop the door alarm from going off :-| I was wondering how to replace it. I have ordered for a replacement part but not sure if there is any trick involved. Thanks GP

Slide a small flat-blade screwdriver under the switch and push the locking tab. Pull out the switch. Disconnect the harness connector and remove the switch. Gene.

Thanks Gene. I'll try it today and let you know how it went. GP
