Ice shoot from ice maker to dispenser door is icing up. (closed). Is this a seal issue and are parts avail. I searched the schematics but could not find an answer.
please advise

please advise Yes, this complaint is usually due to a problem in the ice door chute assembly and or a broken pivot tab on the dispenser body. (see attached/ click number) Part number: AP3872692
You will need to access the dispenser body, For safety reasons you should unplug the power cord from the outlet or remove hinge cover(top of freezer door) and disconnect harnesses,so there's no shorts or shocks to yourself. To remove control panel / escutcheon on dispenser, you need to pry out on the bottom frame with a padded or taped putty knife or screw driver and push down on the frame from the top. Panel will move down approximately 1/2 an inch and will then be removeable. Remove switch assembly and disconnect harness, you will have access to all the chute components. The Kit part number, I attached for you will have all the parts needed to repair the chute assembly,other than the paddle,which is not a common problem. Good luck on the repair.
