I believe I have a key pad problem, but wanted to check before ordering the console that includes the key pad. The only button that is fully operational on the key pad is the drain/cancel button--it will both start the draining motor and will cancel. The heated dry/lock button, the high temp button, and the normal wash and pots and pans buttons will light when pressed and turn off when I hit cancel or open the washer door. However, none of the other buttons will light when pressed (light wash, delay wash, etc) and, most importantly "start/resume" doesn't work.
I tried to follow the instructions for testing the key pad but got no reading on my analog meter when testing any of the buttons (including the drain/cancel button). I was unable to see any corrosion or breaks in the "P1) connector that I ran the test on and that disappears into the key pad area.
Thanks for whatever advice you can provide me.

Your diagnosis sounds right. If you need the correct part number, post the color of the console.
