I just bought a Whirlpool Gold GS6NBE(...not sure the rest of the #) from someone and when I hooked it up in my house the icemaker wasn't completely making any ice. The infrared light does a 2 blink-pause routine. Water gets into the trays, freezes, then nothing. The icemaker "fingers" are pointed at me with the cubes right below them. Are there tests I can run or are there ways of resetting the icemaker? I'm wondering if I buggered up the cycle from unplugging it, moving, then plugging it in. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! I'll feel better if I didn't buy a clunker.

push the infrared door on the left closed. Check to make sure nothing is blocking the beam while doing this. Check to see if your red light goes solid. If the light goes solid, then the problem is your module in your icemaker. The cam on these modules are know to fail. If the light on the infared assy still blinksyou have a bad optical board. Also pull your kick plate off the bottom of the ref. There should be a schematic and and test sheet for your icemaker assy.
