The washer in question had a piece of broken plastic between what i think are the motor and transmission under a rubber disk. It will drain water out of the machine without the basket turning. I don't see any belt under this washer. I f it is the transmission is it worth replacing? Thanks for any help anyone could provide.

I ordered the coupler. Anything else I should look at while I have it apart? Any tip on how to do the job?

Basically once you have the front panel off the washer-unclip the pump pull it back out of the way, remove the coupler, replace coupler and put the pump back, install clips.... Hope this helps Nat

Thanks for the help guys. The coupler did the trick. For 20 dollars and a half hour of work I saved at least a hundered bucks. Keep up the good work. I will be back if and when an appliance needs another repair.
