We have looked at the machine and can't tell from the 1 piece bottom what to do to repair the "out of balance" behavior the machine is exhibiting. Any ideas what the cause might be and whether a schemtic is available on-line?

The older machines you could put a block under the main pully to lift the tranny and examine the snubber pad and maybe reposition it. Also look for a broken main spring. If the pad is worn out then the washer will be all over the place.
