Here are your parts Replacement parts for General Electric TFX27VLL Refrigerator | AppliancePartsPros.comMy refrigerator runs continuously?? Are the freezer and fresh food temperatures OK. Freezer should be 0 to 5 degrees F. Fresh food about 40 degrees F. Is the compressor running all the time or is just the fans running. On many units the fans do run all the time except during defrost. You can tell if the compressor is running if you can feel it vibrating also often you can hear it. What is wrong? You need to check several things. Can you get it to shut off the compressor by adjusting the temperature? Are the condenser coils under the unit clean? Is the compressor/condenser fan running? Are the doors sealing correctly? Is there frost at the back of the freezer,? Could be you have a defrost problem. You may have to remove the evaporator coil cover so you can see the coils. Thermostat and Temperature control, is it the same thing? For the most part yes (Item 424 in Section 4). There is a thermal cut-off attached to the evaporator coils that is often called a thermostat also but it just shuts off the defrost cycle once the ice/frost is melted off the coils. Here is a good site with basic fridge troubleshooting help. http://www.applianceaid.com/frig.html |
