When I pulled off the float and washer assembly, the washer and all came off the end, and fell back in the hole. Can I get this out, or can I just take the float to a hardware store and get a new washer assembly?

Remove the bottom panel. Here are the break down diagrams for the Whirlpool dishwasher Model DU920PWKB0Gene.

I did order the part today from website. When it comes, do I just insert it in the hole, or do I need to push it in tight?

Looking at the diagram I can see the nut (#33) which goes from under the dishwasher. Gene.
