I need to replace the custom control kit for the FR burner on my smooth cooktop. This kit (part 12002723) is a modified part and replaces the original part however some wiring modifications have to be done - i basically need a wiring diagram for this part to help me out with this please. thanks:).

Thanks for this info Gene, however this diagram doesn't provide any information on wiring for the new switch part #12002723 - one side of the switch has 6 prongs and other side has 2 prongs - nothing is labelled, so we are having a hard time figuring out the wiring. thanks again.

HUBI,

If you can post pictures of the old and new parts with all terminals, it might help.

Adam,

Tried calling your # today (Saturday) but the office was closed so ended up going to another appliance part store in town here just to confirm the part. Turns out we got the wrong part put in the right box (box was labelled correctly with the part # etc). I will call the supplier on Monday and let them know about this mix-up. Has definately been a stressful week trying to figure out this part. I appreciate all your help. Your post actually led me to investigate further that maybe the part was incorrect. Thank-you.
