Igniter fires continually. Previous problems have been corrected with unplugging the electrical plug, waiting for a couple of hours, then reconnecting. This time, the problem persists.

Sounds like one of the ignition switches (#2 on the diagram) is shorted. The correction is to replace it. It comes as a switch/lead assembly.
