Have a dryer that wont start.. trying to fix it and I took the back apart and saw that the push start looked to be fired....I ordered a new part and the new one has three spots for wirers and the old one only had two....do the three have to be connected????.....

[COLOR="Blue"]do the three have to be connected????.....[/COLOR] No. Your switch probably has one connector that is not near the other 2, this is usually the Common.
The other 2 will be a Normally Open (NO) and a Normally Closed (NC). They are usually marked on the switch.
You want to connect to the Common and the Normally Open. |
